Hi, I am Anna.
It began with a single profound moment of realization in which I discovered that I could express my emotions and sense of beauty through drawing.
This calling has guided me ever since, from costume design to illustration and far beyond.
I create art that blends the storytelling of costume design with the immediacy of my illustrative approach, celebrating the moment while pointing towards the deeper narratives behind visual & emotional experiences.

Let me take you back in time to an afternoon in Maracaibo, Venezuela, more than two decades ago:
That afternoon I was sitting amidst the hot dry air of Maracaibo in a coffee shop, casually sketching when I suddenly experienced a deep fusion between my emotions, visions, and the lines I was drawing. At 17 I was navigating a turbulent yet fascinating exchange year, far away from Germany, where I had grown up.
The drawing I created in that moment reflected a part of myself I hadn’t been fully aware of before, and I realized, with profound clarity, that I could express my inner world & aesthetic ideas through art.
That moment was deeply moving, and it became clear to me that this was the path I had to pursue.
At that point, I didn't fully grasp the extent of the journey ahead, but I was certain this was my path.
Over the next ten years, I explored this calling.
After finishing school, I spent a year abroad in Spain & France, immersing myself in language, culture and diverse experiences that further shaped my artistic sensibilites. Returning to Germany marked the beginning of a personal odyssey. Spending significant time in solitude, I underwent a profound transformation—a spiritual awakening of sorts—experiencing a rearrangement of consciousness and a complete new sense of self awareness.
During this time, I immersed myself in copying the works of art masters through drawing and discovered a passion for haute couture, tirelessly illustrating looks from fashion magazines that inspired me. This period deepened my commitment to fully pursue my artistic calling.
In my mid-twenties, I decided to study costume design, drawn to its storytelling aspects and the opportunity to work with fabrics and made-to-measure clothing while engaging with a variety of interesting individuals.
Becoming a costume designer at the University of Arts in Berlin I deeply enjoyed developing my storytelling skills through visuals, fabric & clothing. I got my degree in costume design in 2014 and worked on diverse, exciting and notable projects in theatre and film.
Alongside my costume design studies and later, my work in costume design, I spent nearly a decade working in a small artisan hat shop in Berlin. This role not only deepened my appreciation for unique craftsmanship but also allowed me to connect with clients who value individuality, authenticity, and elegance. It was a joyful and rewarding experience, and I discovered that I thrive in curating and selling high-quality bespoke goods.
Prioritizing my drawings & illustrations felt like a natural progression on my journey—one where my dedication to creative expression, storytelling, and unique quality craftsmanship continues to evolve. Today, these core interests serve as the foundation of every piece I create, guiding me to infuse each work with a sense of purpose.
In June 2018, I traveled to Italy to participate in a summer course in digital illustration at the Florence Institute of Design International. While in Florence, I visited the Pitti Uomo Fashion Fair, drawing live styles and people at the event.
While I always appreciate collaborations with innovative brands, magazines and designers - which enrich my artistic practice and allow me to explore diverse themes and concepts- I am primarily dedicated to creating art that evolves from my own inspirations, valuing the authenticity and depth that arise when I follow my creative impulses.
I strive to create art and illustrations that are emotionally captivating and visually striking. Each piece is original, reflecting deeper meanings while maintaining a sense of light-heartedness and spontaneity.
In conversations with my viewers & customers, it often becomes evident how my art & creative offers- with a special blend of storytelling and illustration- immediately evokes feelings of joy and inspiration, serving as a bridge to deeper emotional awareness.
One of my customers beautifully expressed this:
"Your way of expressing yourself with pencil and brush has something special. There's a lightness, joy for life, and forward-looking spirit that shines through. Keep it up!"
I see art as something that enriches our everyday lives and I run an online shop where I offer a selection of drawings and illustrations as prints or embroidery on high-quality T-shirts and similar items. The production happens upon request or order. Take a look into the shop HERE.
Additionally I enjoy creating uniquely inspiring and creative spaces through exhibitions.
Among others, in 2023 I showed a selection of my work under the title " Out of the Blue" in my hometown Bamberg, Germany.
Since my early childhood, I love to travel and discover other cultures. I am fluent in several languages (English, Spanish, French, and Italian),
and my travels are an essential source of creativity for my artistic expression.
